Sorry but that cyber truck is just the most hideous looking thing. There’s a saying- “ just because you can, doesn’t mean you should”
Great cars. Horrible music.
I saw Ken try to jump 2 school buses end to end with a pickup at the Kingston Speedway. Remember he went through the roof of bus #2 and it took a while to get him outta there 😂
I hear the sister's holy trinity pitch is unstoppable.
Fun fact..Mark Micke is the very first driver and friend to buy the very first ad in Drag illustrated.🎉👏🔥🔥👊📕
1:42 The beautiful sound of Mopars in stereo.
My pappy said son your gonna drive me to drinkin if you dont stop driving that HOT ROD LINCOLN 🎹🎼
30 Gs...I dont think so....look up G forces..on line...
I hate that aunt
Those Buick 455 Engines were amazing- pulling a heavy car that fast they had to have been near 500hp - the L88 427 was also a beast in the light corvette they must have been down right scary on the street- god i wud love to drive one
😂 older cars #hit and get manly v8's 🤬 mean motors
It was a product endorsed by Wile E. Coyote, Super Genius, in the Acme catalog. Maybe that's why it didn't work??
It looks like something Wile E. Coyote put together from the Acme catalog. Might consider something stronger than Scotch Tape and Elmer's Glue to hold the wings on next time.
I seen this guy jump 21 cars with a Plymouth fury at mt clemens speedway in the early 80s 😂
Factory stock, running 11s and 12s? Sure....
Some good memories there! The black Mustang GT in the first portion is probably Dave H from Charlotte. It ran well and is still owned by Dave. The black LX Mustang you spoke about is Dave P from Charlotte. It eventually ran into the high 10s on just motor. Good running car. Not sure if he still owns it. Nice footage.
I keep seeing this video because my mates wont believe me when I tell them. Seeing it today, it is pretty amazing how he managed to hold the car to the edge of the ramp. Then he was lucky as hell because the debris from the car damaged one of the chutes. Lucky one was undamaged, but he did not get altitude enough (oh, really?) and got quite a shock when landing...
Love racing stock. Because I never had any money to waist. But the Grand Prix was my favorite car in 1979-84.
My brother had a 70-1/2 Camaro built 350 2.02 heads isky cam. Only needed lower gear but his time was 14.5 seconds. He never wanted to race my Grand Prix I never knew I could smoke him. Stock.
I was going to say how fast my Grand Prix was then just looked and wow
Hey I can’t believe they are racing in a 69 Pontiac Grand Prix. I beat everyone with my old 400 four barrel carburetor. Had to adjust the points and timing every couple weeks to floor it without no hesitation. I beat the Camaros and the rest of the cars. Only car beat me bad was 442 Oldsmobile that car left me in the dust.
these are not factory stock cars (turning low twelves)
Please get your facts right! Yes it was Ken Powers in the car. But it was Ken Carters car, Ken Carters ramp, jump, setup, financing. It was all Ken Carter! Ken Powers did the junp while Ken Carter was doing promotional work for the stunt at the time!!!! Watch the full documentary.
1:26 how it feels when a classroom is full or if your tardy
The 70s were different. Insurance companies hadn't stopped the fun yet.
I'm Pleased
Need owner's name and phone number ❤
How can I get in touch with sleeper caddy Seville owner???
Chicago Seville man get in touch with me! Please? 😢😢😢😢😢
One of the funniest things I've ever seen. LOL
I don’t know what they did wrong. I had no problem doing this exact stunt with my friends and my Lincoln. Someone forgot a decimal point or added one to the math. So sorry I didn’t record mine.
Truth be told muscle cars from 53 -72 had more power than the tires and suspension could handle. On the street alot of brutal cars either went up in smoke or the driver was not able to handle the horses. Myself embarrassed alot brutal street machines with a small block car with a 2barrel carb single exhaust. My shop teacher was a professional drag racer and he helped me set my sleeper up. They always demand I show them the motor. They couldn't believe a stock small block was that fast. With that said most muscle cars of past were close in power and preformance on the street. The one's who dominated were the ones who really understand drag racing. Although I have to admit the GS Buicks and ram air Pontiacs dissapointed alot of bad ass cars.
dam girl your old soal drager
love the cissys strut!
People keep saying “Stock”, but they were around 11:1 compression with more camshaft and of course the giant intake ports of the 4V Cleveland heads. In 1982 I had a ‘62 Ranchero with a 289/C4 11:1, Fireball hydraulic cam, factory heads, factory distributor, dual plain intake, Holley 650 DP and it ran 11.80’s @3300’ above sea level.....
Yaphet Kotto was a PHENOMENAL ACTOR in everything he was in! May he rest in peace. Been a fan of his for DECADES since I first saw him in 1973's "Live And Let Die."
After you break your back 7 times, you might wonder if you're going to break your back.
I really want to find the early scene in which Ned Beatty's character mercilessly needles Belzer's character just by repeatedly saying "Detective. John. Munch." Anybody got a link?
Them Buicks showing them how it’s done.
Please stop with the fake tire scratching at the finish line!
That ramp is colossal!! lol
No Ford's not except able 🤔
What a shame those women wouldn't stop talking the entire time. The video was great other than that.
This is a very nice dragstrip.
I get an E rection every time I watch these vids
Any body watch the guy in the mach one mustang doing reverse to drive drops to do his burnouts, im thinking thi is not good for his transmission.
4 years of planning and one million dollars in 1976 would be 5 minutes of planning and $5.35 million today. That was possibly the most embarrassing and unaerodynamic thing I have ever seen.
Great
I am not a Mustang guy, but they lay down some impressive et's for sure
Looks suspiciously like a farm road with a guy flagging, instead of a dragstrip with a tree instead of a dragway...
Growing up in Detroit in the late 60s early 70s i seen these cars on the streets all the time but now seeing them kick ass on the track is just a thrill...loving these videos....Thanx guys keep up the good work.
